Terms & Conditions of Residence

- Words importing –
- Any one gender shall include both genders; and
- The singular shall include the plural and vice versa; and
- Natural persons include created entities (corporate and un incorporated) and the State and vice versa.
- A guest by signing the indemnity card, warrants that he is duly authorized to sign and bind his principal, as well as each member of his accompanying party, to these terms and conditions of residence and failing such authority, he agrees to be personally liable for all amounts arising from his residence at the lodge, as well as the residence of any member of his accompanying party.
- The guest and his principal agree to pay the lodge no later than the time of arrival (unless prior written arrangements have been made with the lodge) the room rate as determined by the lodge for the period of residence together with any food, beverage, any other commodity or service charged by the guest to his room, and all taxes incurred by the guest and his accompanying party during his stay in the lodge.
- The guest acknowledges that the room rate may be subject to change without prior notice.
- A certificate from the lodge management, whose authority need not be proved shall constitute prima facie proof of the indebtedness of the guest and / or his principal member/s of his accompanying party and of the particulars therein for all purposes including any action instituted by the lodge against the guest and / or members of his accompanying party.
- The guest acknowledges and accepts that the owner and / or lodge manager do not accept cheques in respect of any indebtedness, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Indemnity
Acknowledge that I am well- acquainted and fully aware of and appreciate the real dangers and risks that are associated with remote locations / reserves arising from the presence of wild and dangerous animals, mammals, reptiles, birds and insects and the real risk of suffering harm injury, death and /or loss of property which may arise as a result of an encounter with and/ or the presence of wild animals and / or reptiles and /or birds whilst on the premises or property or /of the lodge /reserve.
Waive all claim or claims of whatsoever cause or nature howsoever arising against the owners of the reserve / lodge operators their associates, servants, employees and /or any person connected whether directly or indirectly with the running of the reserve /lodge and fellow guests /invitees which I might have arising out of harm, injury, death or loss suffered whilst on the premises or property of the reserve/ lodge and /or whilst on safari and whether arising from an act of commission or omission on the part of those hereby indemnified or anyone of them.
Indemnify and hold harmless and free, the owners and the owners reserve/ lodge and operators, their associates, servants and employees and /or any person whether directly or indirectly with the running of the reserve/lodge and fellow guests invitee from any and all claims of whatsoever cause or nature which may arise on behalf of my spouse, common law wife, my children, whether minor or adult, or relatives and / or persons accompanying me to the reserve /lodge whether as my invitee otherwise or at all who suffer injury or loss on the premises or the reserve / lodge and whether arising from an act of commission or omission on the part of the part of those hereby indemnified on anyone of them.
The indemnity and waiver as contained herein shall in all respect extend to and shall not be limited to my transfer whether by road or sea or air from one place to another whether such transfer occurs on the premises or is pursuant to or arises from my transfer as referred to from one place to another and this Indemnity and Waiver shall be applicable and shall also remain in force at all and any place outside of the borders of the republic of South Africa.
In the event of injury and reserve/ lodge operator may at its discretion and without prejudice and without admission of liability arrange and pay for emergency medical treatment for and of behalf of any guests.
