FLY FISHING ACTIVITIES
Wickhams Retreat boasts 12 fly fishing dams fully stocked with Rainbow Trout. All dams are easily accessible and are managed on a catch and release policy only.
Wickhams Retreat adheres strictly to the guidelines as laid out by the Dullstroom Fly Fishing Association and all guests participating in fly fishing activities on the property must acknowledge the rules and regulations. A copy of this may be downloaded here.
All dams and fly fishing activities are managed with the aid of “The Village Angler” based in Dullstroom, they also offer the renting and purchasing of fly fishing equipment as well as fly fishing courses for beginners.
Fishing availability on each dam is run on a first come first served basis and fisherman are asked to respect the maximum number of rods per dam.
A conference room able to accommodate up to 40 people comfortably is located at the main lodge at Wickhams Retreat. Conference facilities can be arranged on request as well as catering.
Please note that we do not offer day fishing, fishing is only available to guests that are staying with us.
